Mantra
What is Mantra? Mantra comes from two Sanskrit words: man (maan) meaning mind; and tra (traa) meaning vehicle or instrument. A mantra is phrase, word or chant that is repeated either out loud or internally as a tool to transport the mind from a state of activity to one of stillness and silence. Every mantra has a different meaning, and should be chosen to meet your intention or current spiritual, mental, emotional, and/or physical needs.
Om Namaha Shiva
I bow to the inner Self.
Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaayaa
I bow to the Lord who lives in the hearts of All
Om Tryambhakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat
Mahamrityunjaya Mantra (maha-mrityun-jaya) is one of the more potent of the ancient Sanskrit mantras. Maha mrityunjaya is a call for enlightenment and is a practice of purifying the scars of the soul at a deep level. It is also said to be beneficial for mental, emotional, and physical health.
